The Cathedral Scroll Stair Panel

The Porch Store custom panels have the body and substance of wood without the character flaws or necessary maintenance. They are made from 1″ or 1.25″ thick solid cellular PVC.

Our panels are cut from sheets of cellular PVC. The core of the material may have slight variation in color from the finished exterior.  This core is exposed as we cut out the design of the railing.   The thicker the panel, the more likely that this discoloration will be visible.  Generally this is faint enough that  our clients don’t see this as a problem.  The panels can be painted to resolve this matter if you so desire.  And don’t worry—proper exterior house paint bonds to PVC extremely well—and you will not have the same maintenance as painted wood!

This stair panel is the same weather-resistant PVC material as our regular panels, made to fit the angle of your stairs and match the design of our Cathedral Scroll Panel.

Length: 6′ – 7′ depending on the angle

Height when panel is sitting flat: 23.75″ (resulting in 32-36″ tall rails, depending on the angle)

If your angle is less than 30 degrees, you must call us for a custom quote, if you are looking for a code compliant railing height. 

1.25″ thick stair panels do not need to be milled down to fit Timbertech Railings, due to the way they are installed.
