The Honeycomb Stair Panel

Product Overview

Our stair panels are CNC-cut from 1″ or 1.25″ thick solid cellular PVC. They have the look and feel of painted wood—not the thin or hollow feel often associated with many synthetic products—while offering exceptional durability without the concerns of rot, insect damage, or warping.

Our stair panels are manufactured from the same weather-resistant PVC material as our standard railing panels, but are designed to fit the angle of your stairs while matching the design of our straight panels.

Material Information

Our white panels are manufactured from Versatex® sheet goods.

Because our panels are cut from solid sheets of cellular PVC, the interior core of the material may vary slightly in color from the finished exterior surface. This core becomes visible along the cut edges of the panel design, and the variation may be more noticeable on 1.25″ thick panels.

In most cases, this color variation is subtle and not considered objectionable. However, if you prefer a perfectly uniform appearance, the panels can be painted. Exterior-grade paint bonds exceptionally well to cellular PVC and, unlike painted wood, requires very little maintenance over time.

Black PVC Options

If you’re looking for black panels, you have two options:

Black PVC Panels: We offer panels manufactured from black PVC. Like most dark-colored exterior materials, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the color to fade over time. If desired, the panels can simply be painted years down the road to restore their appearance.

Painted White PVC Panels: You may also purchase our white PVC panels and paint them black prior to installation. This allows you to choose your preferred paint system from the start while achieving the same finished look.

• Length: 6’–7′, depending on the stair angle
• Panel Height (measured flat): 23.75″
• Typical Finished Rail Height: 32″–36″, depending on the stair angle

Check your local building codes for maximum and minimum tread and riser dimensions.

TimberTech® Rail Compatibility

Both our 1″ and 1.25″ thick stair panels are compatible with the TimberTech® railing system that we sell. Unlike our level panels, 1.25″ thick stair panels do not require the edges to be milled, due to the way they are installed.
